Q'anil is the Seed, Maturation, and Fertility — equal expressions of this Maya Day. The Seed contains what can grow, but it must be planted, cared for, and given time to mature. Q'anil carries this maturation — the yellowing and ripening that comes as something develops toward readiness. Children are seeds through procreation, while the projects and things we bring into being can also be seeds of creation. The Rabbit is associated with Q'anil and its strong relationship with fertility and the continuation of life.
